I think that this quote relates to question #3 because he's been working so hard for their attention. I chose this quote because it made me laugh. He had been working so hard for their attention and because they were fighting over him, he felt like the most important person in the world. He had finally gotten their attention and was probably going to show off.

I think that Achak is feeling pretty popular and attractive right now. But I wonder if he's hanging out with all the girls, he'll have to choose only one.

I think this relates to question #2 because he had to grow up in a rebel enviroment. To be honest, I agree with what the rebels are trying to do, but I have that song. Liberating the land of Sudan with the AK-47 is just such a terrible idea. Shooting will just cause more shooting until one side is dead and the other side has almost nothing. When you think about it, humans are an extremely brutal race. Because we're the dominant species, we try to kill ourselves off. Our intelligence could be devoted to so much more, we could discover and build. But instead we just had to make AK-47s and landmines and WMDs. Not to mention that there are so many of us we're crowding the planet. If you think about it, despite all our intelligence, humans are really stupid.

These people are not very smart and are going about liberating Sudan the entirely wrong way. They need to become friendly with the government so they can succeed the government. But no, they had to be impatient and reckless and stupid and say 'give us all your money people, we're going to bring around a new Sudan'! They had to be so impatient and succeed the government whenever they feel like it. So they're going to grab their guns and shoot people. And if either side runs low on people, they'll recruit more people so the bloodshed goes on forever and hatred grows between them. And they start populating and building towns for their soldiers to live and sleep in until the towns get bombed. And then they'll build more towns and expand their borders so they can build even more, they'll destroy wild areas and build more towns there and they'll keep building and destroying and building and destroying until there's not a single place on earth not ravaged by destruction and war and death.

When will the world learn that that's not how the world works
