"I tell her that having a gun pointed to my head seems more than a complaint" -Valentino
I think this relates to question #7 because the officer was obviously not taking his case very seriously. I would be very angry it this happened to me, since Valentino had experienced serious assault and battery, not to mention having almost everything he valued stolen. I admire his ability not to yell at the police officer right then and there.
I think that he must be feeling really angry because the police officer was being so prejudiced. If I had been there, I would have called the police and actually filed a complaint against the police officer.
Has anything like this ever happened to you?
"It is seven o' clock. We have been here well over three hours." -Valentino.
I think this relates to question #7 again because they're refusing to treat him even though he's the only one in the waiting room, and they even have proof since they've been waiting much longer than usual and they're the only ones in the room. It's really bad that they refuse to treat him even though he's badly hurt. At this point, I would have lost my patience with the hospital and the police completely.
I think that Valentino is really patient because he hasn't lost his temper or anything. Plus, even though he's been taken advantage of, he still wishes the people nothing but good.
Would you have been this patient with these people if all this had happened to you?

Quote 1:I also admire him for always keeping his cool when ever something is bad happening to him I repect that a lot. I also think that it doesn't bother him as much because he had a lot of hard ships in his life before that made him love life and the things it offers.
Question 1:No nothhing like this has happend to me and i hope it never will.
Quote 2:Like you mentioned in the first part that he has alot of experienced dealing with serious assault and I think that he knows that people will not treat him in a nice way but again he still keeps his cool. It seems like no matter what happens in the book he will never lose his cool he will always stay calm and nice.
Question 2: I don't think I would have went crazy trying to get in the room but I think I would gotten restless.

Quote 1. Ya I like how he always seems to keep his cool to even when things seem to go wrong he calm about it and doesn’t let it get to him. He has had his problems that I think were worse so he doesn’t let the small things get to him as much.
question1. Some little things have but nothing this big. I hope in my lifetime I don’t have to have something like this. If I were him I would be very angry.
Quote 2. He knows he is not being judged or treated as an equal and if I was him I could not be calm about it I would have to say wheat was on my mind. It’s not right like you said he is hurt and injured and they will not do anything about it.
Question 2. No. I would not be this patient because I have a short temper I would not have been costly yelling but I would be angry about it.
