1. The most disturbing part was when they tortured David's brother to death. I found this disturbing because you could picture it so vividly. I hope that in the future, nothing like this ever happens again.
2. In Krawinkel, David got to feed the dogs and ate some of their food and got stronger. He was really scared about it at first, but as he ate more food, he stopped being afraid of the dogs because he gained so much from feeding them.
3. In Bergen-Belsen, David is starved and given a terrible job. His experiences at Bergen-Belsen were most likely the worst experiences he had had so far.
4. A moment of triumph is when he beats up a german woman for calling him a 'dirty little jew'. This was a moment of triumph for him because he showed the germans that he wasn't going to take anymore from them.
5. David Faber's book, Because of Romek, should be required reading in all middle schools, high schools, and universities because all students need to learn about the horrors of the Holocaust. I think this because if everyone knows about the terrors of the Holocaust, there is less of a chance there will be another one as big as the Jewish Holocaust.
