Illegal Immigration Post #4

Summary: Illegal immigrants, also known as undocumented aliens, enter a country secretly, without obtaining visas or passing through an official entry point. Because illegal immigrants do not readily identify themselves for fear of deportation, it is almost impossible to determine how many there are in the United States. Various sources have estimated between two and twelve million, but most estimates are little more than educated guesses and are often politically influenced.

Reflection: I thought this was a pretty rough guess at how many illegal immigrants are in the U.S. right now, but still a very high rough guess. With each number, I experienced a certain amount of happiness and sadness. Happiness for all the people that are currently finding help in the U.S. and sadness for how many of those are criminals and drug dealers.

Evidence:

Some U.S. citizens who live near America's southwestern border with Mexico are frustrated by what they see as an unrestricted flow of illegal immigrants.
