Lord of the Flies Post #3

Chapter(s): 3
Character Perspective: Jack
Group: 4

Hunt

Ralph. Ralph and his shelter. He thinks that he just has it worse than anyone else doesn't he. I come back and he starts talking to me about how difficult it is to build shelters and how me and my hunters have it so easy. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't pity him. My hunters are loyal, while everyone but Simon runs away when they're trying to build shelters. But he could show a little respect. Everyone wants meat, don't they? Therefore, it's me and my hunter's duty to hunt down the pigs that live on the island. I understand how difficult it is for him to build shelters with no help. Deep down, I actually do feel sorry for him, and realize that my position probably is much better than his. But he should also realize how difficult it is to hunt before criticizing me like that. If you ask me, Ralph needs a lot more training before he can really become a leader in every respect.

Just a heads up:
Try to include 5 vocabulary words in your post.
It's supposed to be 1 page long, double spaced (in a text editor like Microsoft Word)

Anyways, nice post. I like how you think from his perspective, and that you act just like Jack, attitude and all.

I like the way you feel for, but still dislike Ralph. That attitude portrays Jack very well. I also like the way you say "(I) realize that my position is probably much better than his," because that sounds like the rude Jack that we read about!

Nice job

the way you portrayed jack was very meaningful. the inside thought that he really disliked ralph but bundles it up when he is near.
